I designed a typeface specimen poster for Clarendon as a promotional and educational representation of this iconic typeface. As a technical analysis of this slab serif typeface, I highlighted both the structural bracketed serifs and soft curved edges of the forms in this poster. Because of its historical use as a 19th century wood typeface, I incorporated a drop shadow to refer to this tangible aspect of the typeface’s story and historical use.
